The 42-Hour Challenge is more than a tribute—it’s where our journey began. It is the heartbeat of 42 for 42 and the foundation of the Afghanistan War Memorial Garden. It represents our origins, our purpose, and it continues to shape our mission today.
This year’s 10th 42-hour Challenge will once again take place at Suncorp Stadium, with walkers and teams moving continuously around the concourse, carrying weighted packs with every hour to honour and pay respects to our fallen, and every year, the 42-Hour Challenge brings together a growing community:

* Current serving personnel
* Supporters, schools, and organisations
* Civilians who care and want to make a difference 
Together, we walk around the concourse, just beside the Afghanistan War Memorial Garden, which stands as a lasting symbol of our promise: We will never forget.
